2020 Subaru Sport Tech RS vs 2020 Hyundai Veloster N

RWD vs FWD | Best Manual Cars of 2020?

The 2020 Hyundai Veloster N and the 2020 Subaru BRZ RS, both are mid range performance machines and both are fun to drive. The question I have for today is, which one is better? This comparison isn’t just about two brands, it’s about fwd vs rwd, turbo charged vs non turbo, 4 doors vs 3 doors and so on. Rarely I get to seriously compare two cars that are so different but so similar too

The Subaru BRZ Sport Tech RS is equipped with a 2.0-liter flat-4 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and rear differential, making it the only rear-wheel-drive Subaru ever. A 6-speed automatic transmission is also available.

The flat 4 makes 205 horsepower (200 for the automatic version), it isn’t necessarily slow, but it’s 156 pound-feet of torque isn’t nearly as much as I would like this to have. Subaru fans have been wanting for a turbocharged BRZ for years, and now nearing the end of its run, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see one from the factory. The Veloster N on the other hand, is more powerful, it uses an Inter cooled Turbo 4 cylinder engine that makes 275 bhp and 265 lbs of torque, it is equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission but…. yes there is a but, it’s a front wheel drive.
