Audi is a German manufactured and designed automotive brand that specializes in luxury and performance sports cars and SUV’s. Audi is the luxury division of Volkswagen, which is also their parent company. Volkswagen also owns luxury brands Ducatti and Lamborghini.
What is the Audi R8?
The Audi R8 is the fastest and most powerful vehicle in Audi’s lineup. The vehicle is a 2 door all-wheel-drive supercar that has the same V10 engine as the Lamborghini Gallardo. The R8 has a 0-60 time in 3.8 seconds. The vehicle is available from $188,000 Canadian and ranges from 562 to 602 horsepower.
Are Audi and Volkswagen owned by the same company?

The Audi Quattro system works by distributing the vehicle’s power between all 4 wheels. Audi Quattro is always on, and it uses a set of rotating gears with 2 output shafts, which direct the vehicle’s power and torque to either the front or the back.

The fastest Audi in the lineup in the Audi R8, which has a 0-60 speed of 3.3 to 3.6 seconds depending on the spec. The vehicle is equipped with a V10 engine, the same one found in the Ferrari.

Audi has cars ranging from the A3 to the A8, and SUV’s ranging from the Q3-Q8. Combined, they have more than 12 models, + performance variants and packages.
Can Audi use regular gas?
Most Audi’s can run on standard fuel with the base 4 cylinder engines, however premium fuel will be ‘recommended’. Premium fuel is a good idea to put in your engine every few fill ups regardless, since it helps to clean it out. Premium fuel costs slightly more, however it does give you better fuel economy.

Audi vs BMW?
Audi and BMW are both German engineered and designed luxury automotive brands that offer a lineup of performance sedans and SUV’s. Audi’s R lineup competes against the M division of BMW Canada. For the price point, both brands have equivllent models with similar performance. Both brands have devout followings and will only beat each other in small margin’s when comparing fuel economy, safety, size, or performance. Unlike Audi, BMW has no ‘true supercar’ flagship like the Audi R8.
